    Monday Morning Reflection: Church Naps

Every pastor has had the experience of preaching a sermon only to notice that one or more congregants have fallen asleep. Perhaps they are just resting their eyes, we try to tell ourselves. They are prayerfully blocking out distractions so that they can hang on every word. Then their chin droops down to their chest Read more

Their complaint and concern was valid. Samuel, their current leader (judge), was growing old. His sons were crooks. They were in the middle of a war with the Read more

About us
and the show

Hi! Our names are Andrew and Amanda Sinift. Andrew is a pastor in Washington State as part of the Church of the Nazarene. We felt like there were lots of resources and podcasts for large churches, but not necessarily for the small, local church – even though it makes up 80% of churches. We wanted to fill that gap so that other pastors know they are not alone in the struggles and oddities of ministry.
