Grace. The other day I was trying to make a left turn onto a busy road. A car stopped to give me space to merge. It was an undeserved gift. The driver did not have to offer me this space. It ensured they would get to their destination later than they would have otherwise. This may be considered common courtesy, a small and insignificant act of kindness. But I call it grace. Life is full of it. Every day we are given gifts that we did not ask for and do not deserve.
Yesterday I saw a rainbow. It has not rained in weeks. To the west there was a sunset. To the east there was this rainbow. If only I stepped outside Instead of staying behind the window. I might have seen the north and south, And who knows what light they held?
